Whatever stories you hear about the shit that happened in MWH
They’re all biased.
Oh, the police were attacked. They had a reason to take that sort of action. And those people weren’t really supposed to be there plus they did resist arrest.
And
Those were innocent kids who were choked and tazed! This was police brutality because they were innocent guests! Someone got beat with a flashlight!
If you hear it from the cops, they’ll tell you they were just doing their job, if you hear it from students they’ll say that those people didn’t deserve anything.
My dad was a cop…I think there is a reason why cops can be so quick to jump on people. Cops are nervous people, for real. And sort of threatening actions will make a cop want to take action before something actually happens. For example…one time my dad was trying to arrest this old lady and she whipped out something and stabbed him. SO when shit like that happens, you don’t want it to happen again..Cooperation would have included getting to the ground and putting hands behind the head. Once you cooperate, there is a chance to explain. But with all the yelling and screaming and running around and stuff. That isn’t going to help anything at all.
I can’t say it’s all those peoples fault because all the stories I’ve heard had been different. Was there a gun? Were there drugs, did a cop get punched or stabbed or any of that stuff true? I dunno.
Even my opinion is biased and in my opinion…I don’t think that was police brutality. I just think that this is what cops are trained to do..and they were doing what their job was. If the story was more clear, then maybe I could say, “well the cops shouldn’t have done that…” But yeah. That’s my thing.
Also, yelling at cops and calling them pigs and fucking ass holes and all that stuff is really fucked up. StAHp thinking that all cops are evil, corrupt people. There are bad cops out there, but people lump all cops into the ‘evil’ category together too often.
